Preserve Your Pup. { The maintenance of your Border Collie }
The Border Collie is a high maintenance dog needing a lot of attention and time from its owners. They must be exercised quite significantly every day and be included in family activities as often as possible. Aside from regular everyday stimulation of the body and mind, the Border Collie needs regular combing and brushing to keep the coat gleaming, sometimes up to two times a week for show dogs to prevent knots and matting. Extra care is needed when the soft, dense undercoat is shedding. Bathe or dry shampoo only when necessary. Their ears and coat should be checked regularly for ticks. This breed is also an average shedder. A healthy dog can be brought up on a good quality food to suit its lifestyle and age, combined with raw bones.
