Let's Get Physical. { A closer look at the beautiful Border Collie }
Border Collies can have two different coat types, smooth or rough. Both are double coats, with a coarser outer coat and soft undercoat. The rough variety is medium length with feathering on the legs, chest, and belly. The smooth variety is short all over, usually coarser in texture than the rough variety, and feathering is minimal. The coat colours can vary from the typical black and white, to red and white, blue, blue merle, red merle, solid black and solid white. The coat can also have tan markings on any of coat colours. Some rare coat colours are sable, lilac and brindle. Border Collies can be 18-22 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh between 30-45 Lbs. Border Collies can live to be 12-16 years old.
